Spiritual Oppression

We know that our battle is not against flesh and blood (Eph 6). This will become acutely clear to anyone entering mission to unreached people. Spiritual warfare must be taught from a variety of perspectives, including dark opposition to the Good News, considering if there might be doorways in our personal lives that need to be dealt with and closed permanently, witchcraft that people engage in throughout the world, and the evil nature of communicating with the spirits. There is a joy in knowing that he who is in us is greater than he who is in the world, and we go in the knowledge of that strength. Taking time to unpack the Enemy’s ways frees the candidate from the shock factor experienced when facing spiritual problems on a deeper level for the first time. The freedom we have in Christ is a message we can offer all people.
